FAIRFIELD—In its final non-conference showing of the season, the Yale softball team defeated Fairfield, 2-1, at the Alumni Softball Field. The Bulldogs improved to 18-20 on the season, while the Stags fell to 10-26.

Sophie Woodridge was 2-for-3 with a run scored and in the top of the fourth inning it was Woodridge and Willa Ferrer singling in back-to-back at-bats before Katie Donahey poked a 2-run single to supply the Bulldogs with the runs they needed.

Meredith Henderson was the winning pitcher, notching her fourth win of the season. She gave up five hits.

For Fairfield, Morgan Sylvestre went 3-for-3 while Martina Gutierrez had the Stags lone RBI, plating Megan Forbes.
