It will be Northwestern Regional facing Nonnewaug for the 2025 Berkshire League title after both host teams won their semifinals on Tuesday.
The title game will take place today.
Here’s a look at the semifinals:
NORTHWESTERN 10, SHEPAUG VALLEY 7
Mackenzie Janco was 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs as Northwestern Regional jumped out to a seven-run lead after two innings and never looked back route to the title game.
Kaitlyn Maxwell added two hits for the Highlanders.
Makenna Blische added a two-run home run while Laney Hayes also doubled for the winners.
For Shepaug Valley, which actually out-hit Northwestern 13-11, Clare Moore was 4-for-4 with a pair of triples, two runs scored and two RBIs, and Brianna Johnson was 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Hayden Fisher was 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs while Cameron Tisi (1 run), Lexi Thomas (2 runs), Indigo Brinckerhoff (double) and Brigid Letts all had hits.
Tisi also pitched 4.2 innings of one-run relief for SV.
NONNEWAUG 11, THOMASTON 4
The host Chiefs recorded 13 hits in the game en route to the semifinal victory.
Jordan Kovach (2 runs, 1 RBI0, Gianna DeLorenzo (3 runs, 3 RBIs) and Ashlynn Blum (1 run, 2 RBIs) combined for nine hits all went 3-for-4 in the game. Kovach had a single, double and triple.
Jade Rinaldi had two hits for Nonnewaug while Claire Rogers and Scarlett Ivey both added hits. Ivey’s was a double.
Kovach went seven innings in the circle for Nonnewaug, giving up three earned runs. She struck out seven and walked three.
For Thomaston, Sloan Walmsley had three hits while Jackie Phillips had two, including a double. Addison Patchell, Emily Morton and Brie Beaudoin also had hits.
