One of the best high school softball teams in the state, despite level of play or auspices-slash-governing body, is right in West Hartford.
It is the Kingswood Oxford Wyverns, a team that plays in the Founders League and the New England Prep School Athletic Conference.
The Wyverns, who were Founders League champs in 2023 and ’24, have won back-to-back Western New England championships, and look to add a third title this season.
