The Brookfield Bobcats made their way to the shores of the Long Island Sound on Wednesday, not for beach weather or a boat trip, but rather an oddly scheduled doubleheader.

Trekking first to Fairfield, Brookfield bested Notre Dame Prep by a 6-0 score before getting back on the bus and driving to Bridgeport to take on Kolbe Cathedral in an under-the-lights nightcap. The Bobcats coasted to an easy win in that one.

An even odder part of this story? Kolbe also played a two-site twinbill. They first travelled to Bunnell before hosting Brookfield.

All in a day’s work as the regular season slowly starts to draw to a close.
