There are only two undefeated teams left in the state of Connecticut. One team, the Cheshire Rams, has capped off an undefeated regular season while another, New Milford, won it’s penultimate game of the campaign to improve to 19-0.

Here’s a look at how team did on Monday, along with all the scores from around the state:

Cheshire 6, Southington 0

Jenica Matos fired a two-hitter as Cheshire, the No. 1-ranked team in the state, bested Southington (#6 CTSB/#5GTCT) in a big match up for both teams.

Matos struck out 15 and walked five in a dominant performance.

Lyla Blair drove in three runs with a sacrifice bunt and a two-run single to pace the Cheshire offense. Jordan McCue had a double, a single and scored two runs. Avery Radford added two singles with an RBI.

For Southington, Nerea Maule and Aubrey Perugini both singled.

New Milford 2, Bethel 0

Bethel threw a major scare into the 19-0 Green Wave, but fell short as it was unable to score against Lydia Rocky, who fired a four-hitter with 11 strikeouts and four walks.

New Milford scored a run in the third and a run in the fourth to take the win.

Grace Staller had two hits while Gabby Coloneri had a double and an RBI. Rocky had her team’s other hit.

For Bethel, Victoria Dembeck and Kendall Mietz had two singles each.
