WATERFORD—Today’s opening round of the Connecticut State Little League Softball final four has been washed out by the weather, according to the tournament organizers.
An off day had been slated on Wednesday just in case of rain, so now the first two rounds will be pushed back a day.
Here is the new schedule:
Monday, July 6 (All Games Postponed)
G1: Madison-Clinton vs. Bristol, rained out
G2: Fairfield vs. East Lyme-Salem, rained out
Tuesday, July 7
G1: Madison-Clinton vs. Bristol, 5:30 p.m.*
G2: Fairfield vs. East Lyme-Salem, 8 p.m.*
*-Game times may be pushed back depending on field conditions
Wednesday, July 8
G3: Winner G1 vs. Winner G2, 5:30 p.m.
G4: Loser G1 vs. Loser G2, 8 p.m.
Thursday, July 9
G5: Winner G4 vs. Loser G3, 6 p.m.
Friday, July 10
State Championship Game
G6: Winner G3 vs. Winner G5, 5:30 p.m.
G7: (If necessary), 30 minutes after G6.
