SIMSBURY—The first varsity high school coaching change of the 2026-27 offseason has been confirmed.

Simsbury High School softball coach Bryan Forman has stepped down after approximately a decade at the helm of the Trojans, according to athletic director Heather Golden.

No reason was given for Forman’s departure.

This past season was one of Simsbury’s best in recent memory as the Trojans went 15-5 during the regular season, including a 12-game win streak in the middle of the season.

The Trojans were unable to secure a spot in the CCC playoffs, but did earn the No. 20 seed in the Class LL state tournament, losing to Ridgefield by a 7-0 score.

Golden said she hopes to have a new coach named for the program this fall.
