NEW HAVEN—The Yale Softball team said goodbye, and thank you, to five seniors on Sunday, as it wrapped up a weekend series showdown with Princeton.
The Bulldogs lost by a 6-3 count, falling to 18-23 overall and 12-6 in Ivy League as the Tiger swept all three games at the DeWitt Family Stadium.
The seniors honored included former Masuk High standout Gretchen Bunovsky, who has played in 22 games this season.
Carolyn Skotz (Campbell, Calif.), Willa Ferrer (New York, NY), Carmen Muscolina (Clearwater, Fla.), and Sam Goodcase (Camarillo, Calif.) were the other seniors playing their final regular season home game.
Bunovsky scored a run in the game, pinch-running for Goodcase. She has scored 12 runs this season, half of them this season.
Skotz had two hits and two RBIs in the game while Goodcase (1 RBI on a solo home run) and Muscolina both had singles.
Yale wraps up the regular season next week at Columbia on April 27-28.
