With the rain in the future forecast, teams got to enjoy a gorgeous spring day on Tuesday as the season starts to draw to a close.
Some big games were held, some big moments were had.
Here’s a look at some of today’s key games along with a full scoreboard.
St. Paul Catholic 6, Woodland 5
Entering the seventh inning, Woodland Regional and St. Paul Catholic were locked in a 1-1 pithers’ duel.
One inning later, it was the host Falcons walking off with the win in crazy fashion.

With two outs, Peighton Giambra delivered a single to center field, scoring Laila McCulloch and giving the Falcons the win.

Cheshire 3, Foran 0
The Rams swept the regular season series with Foran with the home win on Tuesday. Cheshire had won the first meeting by a 6-0 score.
Facing the Lions for the second time, Cheshire pitcher Jenica Matos fired a brilliant one-hitter, striking out 15 and walking just two.
Cheshire jumped on top with two runs in the bottom of the first. Jordan McCue walked to open the game. Ava Pearson reached first base on a dropped third strike with McCue, who had stolen second, moving up to third.
McCue and Pearson would execute a double steal to give the Rams a 1-0 lead, with Pearson later scoring on a wild pitch to make it 2-0.
That’s all Matos would need, though the Rams added an insurance run in the sixth when McCue would walk and later score on an error.
