The first high school softball tournament field has been finalized and it is the Southern Connecticut Conference, who will get its quarterfinals under way on Thursday with one game. The other three will be played on Friday.
The semifinals will be held on Monday, May 25, with the title game slated for Wednesday. The semifinals and finals will take place at Biondi Field at West Haven High School.
Here’s a run-down of what’s ahead:
SCC QUARTERFINALS
Thursday, May 21
No. 6 Lyman Hall at No. 3 Jonathan Law, 4 p.m.
Friday, May 22
No. 8 Sheehan at No. Cheshire, 4 p.m.
No. 5 Guilford at No. 4 Mercy, 4 p.m.
No. 7 Daniel Hand at No. 4 Foran, 4 p.m.
SCC SEMIFINALS
Monday, May 25
At Biondi Field, West Haven
(Games start at 11 a.m.)
Sheehan-Cheshire winner vs. Guilford-Mercy winner
Lyman Hall-Jonathan Law winner vs. Daniel Hand-Foran winner
SCC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
Wednesday, May 27
Semifinal winners, 5 p.m., at Biondi Field, West Haven
