MILFORD—Maddy Bonanno threw a complete-game shutout, scattering seven hits while striking out eight and walking three as third-seeded Jonathan Law beat No. 6 Lyman Hall, 4-0, on Thursday.
Gabby Rodriguez was 3-for-3 with a triple, an RBI and a run scored to pace the offense for the Lawmen.
Host Law jumped on top 1-0 by scoring in the home half of the first inning.
Rodriguez ripped her triple with one out in that first inning. Julia Scibek followed with a fielder’s choice ground ball to third, who threw home instead of first for the out. Rodriguez raced back to third as Scibek advanced all the way to second.

Chloe Capalbo then grounded into an out, but it was enough to plate Rodriguez, giving Law the lead.
In the bottom of the fourth, the Lawmen doubled that advantage.
This time, Rodriguez’s singled scored the run as Emily Bassett had singled with one out, moving to second on an error. She scored on Rodriguez’s base knock.
In the sixth, two more runs put the game away.
Marina Cosma singled to open the inning. She was sacrificed to second base by Sophia Scarpa and advanced to third when Sammy Marini hit into a fielder’s choice, reaching base on the play.
Emma Bonanno’s single plated Cosmas and advanced Marini to third base. She would later score on a wild pitch to make it a 4-0 game.
For Lyman Hall, Mya Tyrrell was 3-for-3 with three singles in the game. Sophie Tetreault scattered eight hits, giving up four runs while walking three and striking out two.
All the remaining SCC games will be played on Friday.
