NAUGATUCK—Alexa Klisus had a bases-loaded triple and a single, driving home three runs on the day, and leading the Seymour Wildcats to the 2026 Naugatuck Valley League title with a 4-3 win over St. Paul Catholic.
It was Seymour’s first NVL title since 2018.
In the top of the third inning, Julianna Raucci walked with two outs. Daphne Shea (3-for-4, 3 singles) recorded a base hit and Rachel DeAngelis walked to load the bases.
After working the count to full and fouling off a pitch, Klisus then doubled to center field, staking Seymour to a 3-0 lead.
Raucci would later add a solo home run to cap the scoring for the Wildcats.
Winning pitcher Cassidy Marcinczyk (7 hits, 3 Ks, 1 walk) also had a hit while DeAngelis added a double.
For St. Paul Catholic, seven different Falcons had hits in the game. Laila McCulloch doubled and had an RBI while Peighton Giambra and Liliana McCullouch also drove in runs.
Breyona Demora struck out nine and walked four while scattering eight hits for St. Paul Catholic.
