The 2026 Connecticut Little League Softball Sectional Tournaments got under way on Thursday.

When the final out of the day was recorded is was Bristol and Fairfield taking wins in Section 1 while Manchester and East Lyme posted wins in District 2.

The action continues on Friday, weather pending.

Here’s a recap of all of Thursday’s games.

Bristol 4, Shelton 0

Ava Lefurgey threw a complete-game two-hitter, striking out 12 and walking two, to lead Bristol to the opening win over Shelton.

Lefurgey also had a triple and scored two runs to spark the Bristol offense. Keeva K and Mary T added hits with T adding anRBI.

For Shelton, Lilyana Clemente and Bianca B had the hits, both singles. Hadley W pitched well, giving up just three hits and striking out three.

Fairfield 13, West Hartford 3

An eight-run uprising in the top of the sixth inning put the finishing touches on Fairfield’s win over West Haven.

Livia Feeney had a single and double and pitched three scoreless innings to earn the save as Fairfield moved to 1-0 in the tournament.

It will play Milford on Friday.

West Haven falls into the loser’s bracket.

Caitlin Flory added a triple while Holland Pavlofsky, Olivia White, Lucy Moore, Emma Kello and Brynn Minar all had singles. White, Moore and Kello each had two RBIs.

For West Hartford, Elinor B doubled while Elsa Lesham had a single and two RBIs. Addison Bambery also had a single and an RBI while Grace Winarski, Casey Taylor and Erin Keefe all had hits, as well.

Manchester 10, Brooklyn 7

Manchester trailed by five midway through the game before an eight-run uprising in the fourth inning turned the tide of the game

Manchester took advantage of 10 walks and three errors in the game to pull out the win.

Kailey Belluci and Gracie Nazario both had the lone two hits for Manchester, both singles. Teagen Cadden and Celine Lopez each scored twice while Aubrey Hulse and Josiana Cordero drew two walks each.

For Brooklyn, Aaisley Torres had two hits and scored two runs while Cameron Ferra had a single and two RBIs.

East Lyme/Salem 11, Madison/Clinton 1

East Lyme-Salem pounded out 14 hits and scored in each inning while posting the win over Madison/Clinton.

EL-S advances to face SFC/Preston, which had a first round bye.

Complete rosters have not been obtained by the CT Softball Blog for either team, so no individual performances can be published at this time.
