The 2026 Connecticut Little League State Softball Tournament field is set.

And the Sectional champions haven’t been decided yet.

The Fairfield All-Stars and the Madison-Clinton All-Stars both won Tuesday’s elimination games, advancing them not just to Wednesday’s Section and 1 and Section 2 championship games, but both also qualified for the upcoming state tournament.

Fairfield defeated Milford, 6-5, in seven innings in today’s Section 1 game while Madison-Clinton bested SFC-Preston by a 7-03 score.

The two teams will join Bristol and East Lyme-Salem in the state tournament, which begins on July 6 in Waterford.

On Wednesday, Fairfield will play Bristol for the Section 1 title while Madison-Clinton will face East Lyme-Salem for the Section 2 championship. Despite the tournament being double-elimination, both games are winner-take-all contests for the Sectional titles.

Here’s a look at Tuesday’s games:

SECTION 1

Fairfield 6, Milford 5

Lucy Moore had an RBI single, and Harper Branscombe had a sacrifice fly to score a second run in the top of the seventh inning as Fairfield held on to edge Milford to clinch a state tourney berth.

With the game tied 4-4 after six innings, Fairfield’s Holland Pavlofsky was placed on second under international tie-breaking rules.

Olivia White then drew a walk before Moore put the first ball she saw in play, singling to right field, plating Moore for a 5-4 lead.

White advanced to third on the play and scored when Branscombe flied out to right field to make it 6-4.

Milford got out of the inning without any further damage and, in the bottom of the seventh, Avery Caprio was placed on second to start things.

With two outs, Caprio advanced to third on a passed ball and scored on an error, cutting the lead to 6-5.

Fairfield pitcher Livia Feeney—who pitched 5.2 innings of scoreless relief, striking out 11 and walking two—struck out the last batter of the game, as Fairfield stayed alive.

Feeney gave up just the one unearned run and two hits while earning the win.

Molly Flynn was 3-for-3 with a double, two singles, a run scored and two RBIs while Moore had two singles and two RBIs in the game.

For Milford, Ali Tworkowski had a single two RBIs. Tworkowski and Caprio combined their efforts in the circle, giving up just one earned run in the game. Both pitchers struck out two hitters each.

SECTION 2

Madison-Clinton 7, SFC-Preston 3

Sarah Rosenthal and Ryan Macellaro had two hits each, leading Madison-Clinton to the win and a berth in the state tournament.

Rosenthal scored three times and Macellaro drove in two runs while scoring once, as well.

Alissa Aguzzi also drove in a pair of runs and had a single.

Shea Oliveira got the win, striking out five and walking two while scattering seven hits.

For SFC-Preston, Hallie Gorra had two singles, and Adilyn Weckwerth had a triple.
