WATERFORD—The late, great Ernie Banks once said, “Let’s play two.”
But it was Mother Nature who this week opted instead for “Let’s postpone two”—as in two days in a row of wiping out the Connecticut State Little League Softball Final Four.
For the second straight day, the tournament has been washed out by the weather, according to the tournament organizers.
Monday’s heavy rains were followed up by just enough drizzle along the Long Island Sound to knock back the schedule another 24 hours, pushing the championship round into the weekend.
Here is the second new schedule. All games are being played at the Waterford Little League Complex on Gardiners Wood Road.
